Years ago when Corinne and I first established a home together, Ruby (my mother-in-law) gifted us a copy of her recipe book know as Ruby’s Recipes (you can get a copy on amazon see link at bottom of blog). Ruby ALWAYS has buns ready at her home and I decided I should try making these buns. So I open Ruby’s Recipes to the breads section and called her and asked which one is her famous bun recipe. I found it and then noticed the the recipe used to make the famous GoGo Buns (Fermipan) was just that, a recipe. In the spirit of “there has to be a better way” I am going to share how I bake these buns.

A few years back I embarked on a mission to spend time with Ruby to learn how to make the buns everyone loves. Below is how I make them now:

Now you can enjoy some GoGo buns or what my daughters now call Dad buns. If these steps are not enough I am sure Ruby and/or myself will spend time with you to teach you.

What I didn’t realize at the time of learning from Ruby is that I enjoy baking breads. I think it is the process of conversion and this is similar to woodworking converting raw material to finished product through steps.

If you want a copy of Ruby’s Recipes go to Amazon and search or if in Canada go here: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/1677837659/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_ODkhEbNPNXSCK
