Happy Quitters Day
The second Friday of January is known as Quitters Day. This is when resolutions or goals get broken by according to Strava.
Remain Focused on your Goals
Here are ways I remain focused on my goals:
1. Remember consistency builds good habits
Consistent effort over time helps solidify new habits and moves you closer to your goal.
2. Habits take time to ingrain into your brain
I find after 3 weeks it gets easier and after 100 days it sticks, so stay the course.
3. Visualize what success looks like
Reinforce your commitment and motivation. Imagine the positive outcomes, the sense of accomplishment, and the benefits you’ll experience once you reach your goal.
4. Practice self-compassion
Know that setbacks and mistakes are a natural part of the process. Instead of being overly critical be compassionate to yourself. Everyone faces challenges, and it’s okay to encounter obstacles on the way to achieving your goal. Some of my most memorable workouts during my streak are where there was a huge obstacle in front of me.
5. Get competitive
Prove Strava wrong and crush your goals!
