As 2024 draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on an incredible year filled with professional achievements, personal milestones, and moments of gratitude. It’s been a journey of growth, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence. All qualities that I strive to bring into every aspect of my life.

This year marked a major professional highlight as I joined Forgestik, SAP’s top partner in Canada for the past five years.

A Year of Professional and Personal Growth

Working alongside a talented and dedicated team, I had the privilege of contributing to the successful certification of our Sage Intacct practice. This achievement reflects Forgestik’s unwavering commitment to delivering innovative solutions that help our clients thrive.

The discipline and teamwork required in this endeavor mirrored values I’ve honed in my personal life.

Running Strong: 2,072 Days and Counting

On the personal front, my exercise streak reached a remarkable 2,072 consecutive days. This year alone, I ran 1,677.47 miles, with key highlights including:

Completing the Manitoba Marathon

Running the Winnipeg Police Service Half Marathon

Celebrating my 50th birthday and my 2,000th day of streaking at the WFPS Half Marathon

The daily discipline required for running fuels my resilience and drive, both personally and professionally, reminding me that consistency and dedication lead to meaningful achievements.

862 Days of Sobriety

Another milestone that deeply enriched my year was reaching 862 days of sobriety. This journey has brought clarity, strength, and a renewed sense of purpose to every aspect of my life. It’s taught me the value of being fully present.

A Year Without My Dad

This year also marked the first full year without my dad.

Events and milestones that we would have celebrated together often felt numb but also can still feel his presence #goJetsgo.

Grief has been a constant companion, but it has also underscored the importance of the daily routines and tools I’ve built to foster resilience.

Whether through running, sobriety, or learning, these habits have provided structure and strength during the toughest moments. My spouse and children have been instrumental in helping me channel this energy into instilling strong values and virtues, ensuring I can leave a lasting legacy; just as my dad has left with me.

Their love and support have been a guiding light, reminding me of the importance of family and the impact we have on those who we interact with.

Commitment to Lifelong Learning

This year, I celebrated 1,052 consecutive days of learning Spanish on Duolingo. While I’m not yet fluent, this ongoing practice has been a rewarding way to challenge myself and expand my horizons. Lifelong learning is a cornerstone of my personal and professional philosophy, and I’m excited to continue this journey.

I read many fiction and non-fiction this year as well and have enjoyed many audio books. I recommend Surrender by Bono in audiobook format.

Gratitude for Customers

To my customers Both Forgestik and Grip N Bend: Thank you for your trust and partnership. Your collaboration inspires me to bring my best every day. Together, we’ve tackled challenges, achieved milestones, and built a foundation for even greater success. Your support fuels my passion for delivering value and innovation.

Looking Ahead

As I run into 2025, I carry forward the lessons, accomplishments, and gratitude from this year.

The intersection of personal growth and professional achievements has shaped a year I’ll always cherish.

Here’s to another year of resilience, progress, and meaningful connections.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.

Wishing you all a prosperous new year!
